BOWLING: BISHOP CANEVIN WINS AT STEEL VALLE
Congratulations to the Bishop Canevin Girls' and the Boys' Bowling teams who were both victorious over their match against Steel Valley High School on Wednesday, January 5.
The Varsity Girls scored a high pin total of 2010. Bowlers who bowled three out of three games for Varsity included Courtney Suhay 177, Kat Rubel 146, and Angela Palchowski 151. Contributing to the Varsity win was Lindsey Knetzer, Emily Baric Tarnow, Mandy Cipriani, and Rachel Baric Tarnow.
The JV Girls also won their match. Successful JV bowlers included Katie Schulte, Kate Davis, Emily Allan and Stephanie Hnat.
The Varsity boys were victorious with a total pin count of 2190. Bowlers who bowled three out of thee games for Varsity included Steve Lucot 192, Chris Walko 178, and Jon Mckivitz 181. Other bowlers who contributed included Charlie Hartz, Patrick Bernaurer, Bryan Stein, and Jon Finn.
The JV Boys also won their match. Successful JV bowlers included Zack Mell, Mark Szymanski, and Tim Gumina.
