eCubed - January

01/13/2012

_ eCubed Day  for this quarter accommodated a wide range of interests. Students participated in activities that ranged from porcupines to coliseums and from drumming to peanut butter sandwiches. Each quarter, the students take two periods to explore, enhance, and excite their learning opportunities by participating in a class on a non-traditional school subject. Middle schoolers are learning to fly fish, create replicas of the Coliseum, become stand up comics, and play mind expanding games such as 24, Chess and Headbandz.  For those wanting to build their Fine Arts skills drumming, oil painting, and puppet making were a choice. Cooking, world travel, Lego building, exercise, science experiments, ocean secrets, and porcupines rounded out the class selections. The students look forward to the special learning adventures and to seeing their teachers share knowledge outside of their usual classroom subjects.
